Coming Home, LLC was founded in Brownsburg, Indiana; just outside of Indianapolis, Indiana. What started out as a business, providing a simple medical binder to record our medically fragile daughter’s health records and disease specific information, grew into a greater mission of helping other families and caregivers all over the world.

The Coming Home Story

In April of 2000, Penny gave birth to our daughter Gabrielle.  At the time, she was perfect, and we were excited for our new family addition.  By August of 2000, she had experienced seizures, been put in a medically-induced coma and was suspected to have a life-threatening terminal disease; which was later confirmed.

When we left the hospital in late 2000, we were not prepared to deal with the challenges of life at home. In our eagerness to get there, we failed to realize how unprepared we were in caring for our daughter; especially her medical needs.

– Our Medical Organizer was born out of the necessity of those needs. Through it we found a way to deal with the overwhelming onslaught of medical information that accompanied her condition.

– Along the way, we discovered that God used our circumstances to give us perspective about each phase of the journey with Gabrielle.  At God’s prompting, Penny created the Coming Home “Healing Journey” journal. It gave us greater insight as we traveled our path with her until her death in 2015.

– Most recently, God placed on Penny’s heart a desire to create another resource to help encourage caregivers along the way.  In March of this year, the “Hope Whispers” 30-day Devotional was added to our product line and we continue to see God prompting us to create addition materials in the future.

Each resource allowed us to see God’s help and love and we hope to make an impact in the lives of care-givers everywhere.

Our Mission

To serve God in every way; to extend a hand of grace, a word of encouragement, and a seed of faith that says “you can do this”.

To work towards educating those in the chronically ill and disabled communities on the importance of being actively involved in the health and wellness of their family.

To give caregivers the tools they need to strengthen them along their journey with their loved-ones.
